Please note the following cancellations on this schedule:

  • Wednesday 10:30 - 11:30, Zumba Gold
  • Starting Monday April 10, the Thursay 1:30pm Aqua Fitness classes are cancelled. The Monday and Tuesday classes will continue! as we have found an instructor to take over those classes. Thank you Judi!

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS - Spring 2017

Fitness Classes: In the Victoria Room or Dance studio

Basic Body Toning- This class offers up a “back to basics” approach to fitness.  Lunges, squats, and upper body exercises using light free weights competes this class.  Be prepared to increase strength and have fun! All fitness levels welcome

Chair Fit- Get relief from those stiff, sore, aching joints.  This gentle exercise class is perfect for those who want to increase their range of motion.  In addition to working on joint mobility, this class also improves balance, strength and flexibility. 

H.E.A.T- A high intensity workout with a combination of strength training and cardio exercises.  A variety of equipment is used in this diverse workout.

Healthy Heart, Strong Body- Experience a new found mobility, cardio fitness, strength and flexibility by using light aerobics, weights, bands and mats to energize, stabilize and strengthen your body.

Morning Scramble- Jump-start your metabolism with this great morning heart and muscle workout.  We do half cardio conditioning, half muscle conditioning with alternating equipment weekly.

Rise &Shine Boot Camp- Start your weekend off with a phenomenal full-body workout. This class uses a variety of equipment, including steps, gilders, weights, body bars, and bands.

Surf ‘n Turf- A fusion of land and water fitness combining training the gym and training in the pool. Easy on the joints and great for anybody returning to, or new to fitness.

Strength & Balance- This class is a combination of Pilates and weight room circuit that is both fun filled and challenging.

Strength Circuit 1 & 2- Strength, flexibility and cardio stations will be set up to provide a well-rounded workout.

Tornado HIIT- Experience a whirlwind of exercise and challenge yourself with some high intense interval training that will keep you moving non-stop! This class consists if a variety of intervals and TABATA circuits!

Yoga Fitness- A vigorous Ashtanga flow class that will leave you feeling strong, long, lean and energized! Enjoy the benefits of Yoga from breathing methods to fun balancing.  Yoga Fusion- A blend of Yoga, Tai Chi & Pilates inspired moves that stretch and strengthen your body.  Class begins with a gentle Tai Chi warm up, then building intensity with Yoga and finishing off with some Pilates inspired core work, stretching and meditation.  Suitable for all fitness levels!

Zumba Gold- Come join the party! Zumba Gold is all the fun of a regular Zumba class while taking into consideration 50+ bodies.  Dance your worries away with a fun filled workout.

Zumba Tone- This class combines targeted body-sculpting exercises and high-energy cardio work with Latin-infused Zumba moves that creates a calorie torching, strength training, and dance fitness party. The perfect way to sculpt your body while having a blast.

Zumba- Zumba combines high energy music with unique moves & combinations that allows participants to dance away their worries. No experience required.

 

Spin Classes: in the Spin studio, 11 + 1 (instructor) bikes.

Fire Spin- Get Ready to burn! Hard Hills, fast flats and a heavy sweat make this class a real calorie burner!  This class is recommended for intermediate to advanced spinners.

Morning Ride- a fabulous way to kick start your day with a combination of high energy drills such as sprints, seated and standing; climbs, seated and standing and some with speed ups; team drills, hovers, jumps and more... For 40 minutes you are the boss; you choose your zone and reach a high that continues long after the tension is off.

Spin & Core- A great mixed terrain ride with 40 mins on the bike, followed by 10 mins of core and 10 mins for a nice long stretch.

Spin & Tone- This class offers a mix of cardio on the bike and strength exercises off the bike.

 

Aquarobics/Aquamotion/Aquafit: A water class that takes place in the training pool that involves the use of water as a resistance medium for a great cardio workout.

Into the Deep- A great no impact workout using an aqua belt for buoyancy and takes place in our deep water pool. A very refreshing and energizing class.

Aqua Tone- Using the water resistance along with noodles, paddles and wands, this class trains flexibility and range of motion, to tone and strengthen joints and muscles.

H20 Power/ Sunrise Aqua- Two high energy classes that combine cardiovascular and muscle training. A great, no-impact full body workout.

Speciality Aqua- Done in our warm water pool this class is designed for anyone with chronic pain, arthritis, fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue.

Nordic Walking Circuit- This class takes place on our indoor track and using the Nordic Walking poles, weights, bands and more!
