Youth Recreation & Fitness Programs

The Dartmouth Sportsplex is proud to provide a large variety of health and fitness programs for youth.

Our weight room and fitness classes are instructed by qualified staff in a fun and friendly atmosphere. What a great way to introduce youth to safe and effective training techniques and promote good health. Classes are designed for youth ages 8-16.

Our state of the art skating facility is the perfect place to enroll your children in skating lessons.  Classes are provided for pre-beginner to advanced students and are held during optimal after school hours. Parents have the option to participant on the ice with their children, watch from the sidelines, or leave their children with our highly experienced staff.  Enrollment ranges from 3-10 years of age.

Our gymnastics area is fully equipped with bars, beam, floor, rings trampoline and vault. Coaches keep participants moving, swinging, rolling and bouncing while teaching beginner to advanced gymnastics skills. Kids can be enrolled as early as 1.5 years old with parent participation. General classes are provided to children ages 3-12.

The Dartmouth Dance Academy operates within the Sportsplex and is extremely well recognized within the fine arts community. We cater to all skill levels including competition and exam classes.  Students look forward to our big year end recital where family and friends come to watch them perform. Ballet, tap, jazz, and lyrical classes are offered to ages 3-18.

School break and in-service day camps are a wonderful way for youth to socialize with others in a fun and positive environment. Camps provide a wide range of activities such as skating, swimming and sports. Our camp counselors are trained to supervise programs and ensure safety with all participants. We'll keep you updated as programs & camps arise!

Child Minding is also available for those adults that want to workout and have children or need to be with one child in a lesson and you need care for another.

For more information on any of these programs, please contact the Athletics Department at (902) 464-2600, ext. 323 (for Gymnastics and Camps) or ext. 315 (for Fitness Programs)
